I’ve had the subdomain to my free account for 5 years. Why is it now ‘expired’, and that with no warning.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi,

I’ve called for staff attention to the topic. Staff will respond here.

  • We sent warnings to the email address associated with user estuckey . Can you log out, log back in as that user, and renew the upgrade? You’ll want to work quickly, so if you’re having trouble logging in, let us know.

This is Mark Jefferies, true owner and chief admin of EmergentWatch.com blog.

Estuckey is my friend who initially paid for the domain name on his credit card. However, he is no longer actively involved in my blog. I am awaiting response from him.

Is it possible to bypass him and renew the domain with a different credit card?
Or, better- Is there a phone# I can can and pay for the renewal with with debit card?

PLEASE GIVE ME A PHONE # for customer service.

HELP. I don’t want to lose 5 yrs. of content.

    MJ

  • Just to calm any worry, you will not lose any content no matter what happens with the domain. All that is at risk is the domain registration for EmergentWatch.com. Your content will remain at https://emergentwatch.wordpress.com/ even if renewal of EmergentWatch.com is unsuccessful.

Please let us know what you hear from Estuckey. The best case solution is that they renew the domain for you and then transfer ownership to your WordPress.com account.

Is there a phone # for customer service I can call to give a CC/ debit # ???

  • We do not provide phone support, no.

But even if we did, we can only help with a domain if requested by the account that owns the domain. Domain ownership is governed by very strict regulations, and we would put our accreditation as a domain provider at risk by trying to bypass any of those regulations.

The owner of the estuckey account is the only person who can renew that domain, and also the only person who can transfer ownership of the domain to another account. We literally don’t even have the option to do that from our end – the button to transfer ownership of a domain only exists for the specific account that owns the domain.
