my entire page is italicised!
-
hi everyone,
i refer to my blog at http://huckerby.wordpress.com. the entire first page appears in italics (even the links and the admin functions on top). however, when i go to page 2 (http://huckerby.wordpress.com/page/2/), it’s fine, no italics! why does this happen? thanks!

Usually it’s an unclosed tag somewhere, most probably in a post. But with the current “upgrade climate” it could as easily be something that will sort itself shortly.

Hey thanks for the tip! I’ll check the tags again… but think it’s quite unlikely as i use the WYSIWYG editor. Hopefully it’ll sort itself out like you said ;)

Your use of the WYSIWYG is actually the CAUSE of the issue.
You put the “more” tag on an italicized line. When the “more” tag is used on the Rich Text Editor (WYSIWYG), it inserts it inside a P tag, which, in this particular case, is formated EM (italicized/emphasis). And, here’s the issue, IT DOESN’T CLOSE THE EM FOR YOU! Don’t know why it doesn’t. But it doesn’t.
To fix it, change to non-Rich Text Editor mode and remove the EM tags (both EM and /EM) from the P tag that contains the MORE tag. After you republish the post, you should find everything okay, and can turn Rich Text Editor back on.
