My favicon is a strange picture I have never seen before & I cannot change it
-
Hi,
I hope someone can help me out.
The favicon to my recently created wordpress.com site with the (free) theme Sela, is a photo of a black woman. I have no idea how that photo managed to become my favicon, nor do I have any idea where this picture could be on my site. I have checked ‘Media’, it’s not in there and I also do not have a Site Identity option in the theme customizer.
This photo also shows up in Bloglovin on my first blogpost, although I didn’t even include a picture in my first blogpost. Even removing that post didn’t work.
Does anyone have an idea how to change it because it is driving me crazy !
Thank you so much.

Hey brunetteambition1201,
I’m not sure why this image is appearing, but you should be able to change it easily.
Head to https://mybrunetteambition.wordpress.com/wp-admin → Settings → General. On the right hand side you can then upload a new Blog Picture / Icon.
These favicons do not show up instantly, meaning they may take several days to display a change. More information can be found here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/avatars/blavatars/
Please let me know if this worked :)

Dear lord it worked ! The favicon is already changed.
I had literally turned my wp admin upside down and couldn’t find anything regarding this issue.
Thank you so much for your helpful reply :-) ! -
