My featured photos and the words before the ‘read more’ line are not showing on my main blog

    My featured images and words before the ‘Read More’ line are not showing on my main blog page. Please note that I have only included featured images to the top two blog posts and the ‘read more’ button to the top post only (until I can figure out what is going on). How can I get my featured images and words before the read more line to show?

    Your site is set to private so nobody can see it you’ll have to wait till a Staff member is available to take a look.

    Hi there,

    Are you seeing a loading screen under your featured images like this?:

    I tried this on my test site as well and it does not appear that this particular theme supports feature themes or more tag. I switched to a different one and both the feature image and more tag worked.

    I do not know if this is a feature or a bug of the theme as it is a new theme, but based on the theme support page, it looks like it is minimalistic by design.

    I can look further into this, but in the meantime, I would recommend trying out a different theme to see if the feature theme and more tag works for you.

    I switched my theme, but now I am running into other issues. I want my background to be “still” while scrolling, but now it is moving as I scroll. Also, I cannot get my logo header to appear at the top of the homepage. Also, I do not want any colors from the theme, except my background image, throughout my website. It seems like switching themes cures one issue, but causes another. :(

    Looking at your site, I see that you were able to set your cover block to fixed:

    Also, I cannot get my logo header to appear at the top of the homepage.

    To set a site logo, please go to Appearance → Customize → Site Identity, as outlined here: https://wordpress.com/support/site-logo/

    Also, I do not want any colors from the theme, except my background image, throughout my website.

    To change the colors in your site, please go to Appearance → Customize → Backgrounds & Colors.
