UP UNTIL TUESDAY THIS HAS WORKED GREAT FOR MONTHS BUT NOW ONLY SOME FIELDS ARE BEING EXPORTED WHICH IS USELESS TO ME AS IT IS MISSING CUSTOMERS INFORMATION SO I CANT PROCESS THEIR ORDERS!

    Hi there,

I have checked out the most recent feedback on your blog. The completed fields seem to be consistent within the feedback here:

    https://hdstelecom.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=feedback

Can you let me know what fields are missing when you run an export?

If you’re referring to the banking information on this page, please note that this is not labeled as a required field meaning individuals do not have to fill this out to submit a request:

hi thanks for taking a look. yes all information is present when you view it but when you export only the following headings are coming out
Contact Form TEAM LANDLINE TITLE COMMISSION COMMENTS INSURANCE
it was working great with all fields exporting since November last year then last week only the above fields were being exported.

    Hi there,

It looks like there might be something wrong with the feedback export. I’ve alerted our developers of the issue, and I will let you know as soon as I know more!

    Hi!

We’ve deployed a fix that should correct this issue. Can you give it a try and see if the export is still leaving off fields?

  • Unknown's avatar

awesome work! all seems good to me thank you :)

  • Unknown's avatar

Great to hear! Let me know if you experience any additional trouble.

  • Unknown's avatar

thanks again, there is one slight issue still. When agent Matt Sanham submits an order it goes into spam 9 times out of 10, when I mark it as not spam it puts it in the database but doesn’t email it?

    Hi!

Is it only that one particular agent that seems to be getting caught by the spam filters? Regarding the email, when a contact form request is caught by the spam filter and then is manually moved to the inbox (out of spam), you will not be sent a notification. This is likely because you’ve already seen the comment to move it out of spam.

Let me know if he’s the only one getting caught!

  • Unknown's avatar

Hi, yes he is the only one! as for moving them and getting notified we always used to get an email once we moved it out of the spam? thank you so much for your help with this!

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hi!

I have done a quick test and confirmed that you will not receive a notification when you move a contact form submission from Spam to your Inbox. As I explained, this is likely because the notification assumes you’ve seen the message if you moved it from Spam.

Can you let me know the next time Matt submits a contact through the form? I’d like to see if he’s using a particular string of text that is triggering the spam filter to hold his message.

ok I will get him to start submitting again tomorrow and when they go in spam I will let you know, sorry I have been on holiday for a few days.

    A couple of other things:
1 at the end of each day I export the data and then delete it and repeat the process each day but I am getting a message saying ‘error in moving to trash’ and have to keep going back and deleting a few at a time which never used to happen.
2 it would be great if there was a timestamp of the record or even the day it was submitted that showed in the csv file, I would only need to export once a week then!

    Thanks again

    Matt

Can you take a screenshot of this error message and upload it to your Media Library? I gave this a shot and I was able to bulk delete 20-30 items at one time without receiving an error.

I can definitely see the value in this! Currently, the csv only exports user-entered content. In order to have a timestamp on the export, you would just need to require the users to input the time into a designated field on the form.

Hi, I am testing With Matt Sanham, he has put an order through and gone straight to Spam, I have left it in there for you to take a look at. if we cant get the orders to be emailed when they come out of spam is there a way of printing them as we keep a hard copy for our records. when an email comes across it automatically prints for the Admin girl using a rule in outlook but if his don’t get emailed they wont be printed.

moving to trash is still very hit and miss, sometimes they will be moved to trash other times it will throw up the error, I haven’t tried a different browser maybe it is an IE error?

    Many thanks

    Matt.

    Hi Matt,

I believe the issue is with the email address and name he’s using. Currently, it looks like he’s using “(email visible only to moderators and staff)”. That likely triggers the spam filter to catch the message. Can you have him try using his email address?

Regarding moving the items to trash, can you try upgrading to IE 11 or trying a different browser? I think this may be an IE issue. You can find links to latest browser versions here:

    http://browsehappy.com/

Let me know if that works!

he has just put another test one in and used his own email address and still gone into spam!

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hi!

Can you try marking this one as “Not Spam”? Our spam blocker should now register his email address as not spam since it has an email address to use.

    Hi.

we have a lot going into spam today from various agents? The email address they enter is the customers email address so not sure why some are going into spam and some are not? We have a site in Cornwall where one agent enters all of the call centres orders and they are all going into spam. We have another agent who works from home and his are going into spam today and they never have before? All agents in this office are fine, could it be an IP address it doesn’t like the look of? could I provide the IP addresses and you put it in a safe list?

Any help as always would be greatly appreciated!

    Matt

    Hi Matt,

I’m assuming you’ve tried this, but does marking the items as “Not Spam” trigger the feedback form to stop placing them in the Spam folder? There is a comment flood spam element that marks comments from the same IP address within 20 seconds as spam. However, it looks like the feedback submissions are spread out much longer than that.

    Hi there,

    thanks for the response.

Yes I obviously mark them as not spam but they are still going in there!

I don’t understand why? I have an agent who works from home and he has submitted fine for months but this week they are all going into spam, he hasn’t changed anything his end.

They are having to email the orders through at the moment which isn’t ideal and not as secure.

any help would be massively appreciated!
