MY FEED BACK IS NOT EXPORTING ALL FIELDS

  Hey Matt,

  It looks like Akismet is catching these in the spam filter as a result of the content, not the IP address. If you have spammed posts like this (with similar content) inadvertently in the past, Akismet will pick up the similar content and mark these as spam as well. Does that make sense?

  not really lol! Is there a way of turning off the spam filter as I really need to be capturing these orders!

  Hey Matt,

  There is not a way to turn off Akismet spam filtering. The best option going forward would be to continually mark everything as “Not Spam” to lessen how much Akismet spams. However, this may have the inadvertent effect of allowing spam to pass through your filter. It seems like many of your pages are password protected though so this shouldn’t be a huge issue.

  the problem is when you mark as not spam it doesn’t email the order!

  I understand. However, there isn’t another way to train the Akismet filter to not mark messages as spam other than to mark them manually. Over time, the filter should stop marking these messages as spam. Have you noticed a difference at all in the amount of messages that are sent to the spam inbox?

  hi.

  the call centres with the issues have stopped using the system due to the spam as we couldn’t resolve it and was a real pain to print the orders off as they do not get emailed to us as they have been in the spam box. So no way of testing really. The guys here are still using it fine.

  We could do with getting the other centres back on it but they wont unless the spam issue is resolved as it creates too much work hand writing the orders.

  I understand your frustration. Unfortunately, outside of filling out all fields (not using “n/a” or (email visible only to moderators and staff)) and marking the feedback as “Not Spam” to train Akismet, it’s difficult to fix the spam filter. There isn’t a way to turn the spam filter off currently.
