My first blog doesn’t appear.

  Username: Clarifier.
  2007-10-22, 2:52:57 am I posted my first blog: Title: Sensible theism anyone?
  Under Categories, I typed in religion. I clicked Publish.
  I went back to the Religion page. My blog did not appear, and did not appear later.
  At http://clarifier.wordpress.com/wp-admin/ my comments are listed but my blog is not.
  At http://clarifier.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php my blog appears, but is listed as Uncategorized.

  Do you mean you’re having trouble seeing your blog or just posts under the religion category? Your blog address is http://clarifier.wordpress.com/ and your first post is http://clarifier.wordpress.com/2007/10/22/sensible-theism-anyone/ .

  I think you might have used a tag for religion, when you meant to use a category. You can display categories using a widget in your sidebar and to give a post a category, you enter it as you’re writing or editing your post. There’s an option box to the right of your editor called Categories; you should be able to select from existing categories or add new ones there.

  If that’s not the problem you’re having, can you give us some more details? And what browser you’re using; Internet Explorer? Firefox? I’m sorry I’m just finding it hard to picture what you mean.

  Thank you for responding. I’m using IE. I think I may have found the problem. At http://clarifier.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php I see my blog. I click “edit” and go to http://clarifier.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post.php?action=edit&post=4. The right column top option is “Categories”. It has a text cell under it in which I originally typed “religion” and a box under that which says “Add”. I didn’t do anything to the “Add” cell last time. This time I clicked the “Add” cell, and “religion” appeared below it with a checked box next to it. I assume this fixed the problem. If not, I’ll be back. Thanks.

  That sounds right; it it’s not checked, it won’t apply. Easy enough to do. Happy blogging. :)
