My first day with blogging, having “subscribing” difficulty
-
On my page on the right side where one would subscribe to the rss feed, I think the two links are “weblog posts” and “Comments”, when I click on them they aren’t working. Can anyone please advise me on how to correct this or set it up properly? Thanks.

Can you define “not working”?
The RSS feeds are designed to be used by a feed reader rather than a clickable link for you to read in your browser.
For more information on how RSS works read the FAQ at the top of the forum:
http://wordpress.com/forums/topic.php?id=467&replies=2
and do a search on here. You might also want to Google it to learn a little more.
Hope this helps

i think those links just show your rss feed, it’s not really meant to be clicked on for subscription or anything. if someone wants to subscribe to your feed they must register with a feed aggregator website like bloglines or feedster to get your feed.

He or she is looking at the ‘feed:’ bit in front of the http:// bit of the feed link. The feed protocal is set up for a feed reader, not a browser.

Thanks all for your replies. Then it’s not a problem that when somebody clicks on those 2 links they get an error message and are not taken to a web page? All I really know about computers is the on/off switch, and that I want to be able to have a functioning blog and be able to put our information on i-tunes.

Ok, now you’ve confused me! ;)
No there’s no problem with your blog, it works just as it should.
You’ve confused me with “put our information on i-tunes”.
Can you explain that for me?
Cheers!

sorry.. sometimes I confuse myself. On my blog I put an audio message to see if it works, and I want to podcast the message and future audio information on the apple site.
