my flickr link photo won’t work for my header

    I used the edit css upgrade to change the background of my header. I usually change this often by copying the link from my flickr page. This usually works but ever since flickr had to change their dashboard, the link hasn’t posted my header. Anyone have any suggestions as to how to fix this or if you use a different uploader than flickr?

    This is the one that works for now, which is an older link:
    #header {
    background:transparent url(‘http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4011/4621521949_fd90e77a79_o.jpg’) no-repeat scroll 0 0;
    height:225px;
    text-align:right;
    width:900px;
    padding:30px;
    }

    This is the new one that does not work. I’ve tried adding the .jpg and differnt variations, but nothing seems to work

    #header {
    background:transparent url(‘http://www.flickr.com/photos/36284947@N05/4775831947/’) no-repeat scroll 0 0;
    height:225px;
    text-align:right;
    width:900px;
    padding:30px;
    }

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    http://www.flickr.com/photos/36284947@N05/4775831947/ is not a link to an image file. Notice that it ends in a ” / ” instead of a file name ending with .jpg? I suggest you check the link again. This link ends up taking me to a login page.

    Also, the “@” symbol is a reserved URL character and as far as I know is not allowed to be used since it could cause conflicts with email addresses.

    But why upload to Flickr anyway? Upload your image to your blog (Media > Add New).

    Panos is right. If you host the image at flickr, anytime anyone comes to your blog, the browser has to fetch the image from flickr in addition to fetching all the HTML from wordpress to display the blog. If flickr is slow, or even off line, or if there is an internet bottleneck, or issue somewhere between your visitor and flickr, then your image won’t load. By hosting the image in your media library here, you are virtually assured that if the main parts of the blog will load, so will your image.

    thank you so so much! you are amazing! I’ve switched to using the media section of the blog and it solved my issue. Thanks again!
