my followers not getting confirmation emails

  My friends have tried to follow me but they do not get confirmation emails. They have reentered their email but it says that they are already following. They click contact us and then it says they cannot find their registration and are they sure they put in the correct email. Please help!!

  Hi there! If you let me know a couple of the email addresses I can check on those registrations. Email addresses are redacted from public view in the forums, but I’ll be able to see them.

  (email visible only to moderators and staff), (email visible only to moderators and staff) are a couple. I know there are others but I don’t Know them. Thanks for your help!

  It looks like neither of those addresses confirmed their subscription to your site. I see pending subscriptions on both of them. We won’t send emails to them until they confirm the subscription.

  If they no longer have the confirmation email, they can plug their email address into your subscription form again and we’ll send them a new confirmation email.

  That is exactly the problem! They are not receiving emails to confirm their subscriptions. In the last 2 weeks no one who has tried to follow me have received confirmation emails.

  Oops! I’m sorry. I lost track of the issue in that last response. :(

  I checked and we did mail those confirmation emails to them.

  I see they’re both on the same email host. Can you have them contact their IT team or webhost about why our emails aren’t getting through to them?

  Ok. One more question. Why does my stats page say I only have one follower and on my blog page the follower widget says I have 4?

  I see you currently have five followers. Here’s a link to where you can see all of your followers:

  Across the top there are a couple of tabs, “WordPress.com Followers” and “Email-only Followers”. You have one WP.com follower and four email followers.

  This means that four people have submitted their email address to be notified of new posts, but they do not have a WordPress.com account associated with the email address they signed up with.
