Hi claricelee,
Looks like all your widget are placed on the left side of your footer area.
The Motif theme features three optional footer widget areas displayed at the bottom of the page, but you have used only one.Go to Dashboard>Appearance>Widgets and move the widget boxes boxes from the left footer area to the other ones (central and right). If you don’t need some of the widget displayed, you can remove them by clicking on Delete. If you want to replace them, just drag and drop the available widgets and place them onto the Footer boxes.
That should fix the problem, let me know it that works!

awesome, thank you so much. i do have another question. i am struggling with my menu. so what i would like is a a home page that the site opens on and then the menu with all the options ie contact, about. i cant get my home page or the other pages on the right page? and also how do you do a drop down from one of the options ie. about/contact….kind of like sub headings?

@claricelee2707 I’m not sure what you meant when saying
a home page that the site opens on and then the menu with all the options ie contact, about. i cant get my home page or the other pages on the right page?
I can already see your homepage with the horizontal navigation menu displayed, so I presume that’s not what you want? :)
As for the dropdown menu, you can indent the menu entries as sub items. Go to Dashboard>Appearance>Menu, and move the menu entries slightly on the right at your best convenience. You will notice that they create a kind of an indentation, so they will be appearing as a dropdown menu.
Here’s a screenshot that should help you get the idea: http://imgur.com/5nzOsAGDon’t forget to hit the blue Save Menu button to validate your changes before checking on the front end!
