Yes , I had ordered a online page, after doing chat for several hours to get help. I realized there was no way to set up an actual website with you. I canceled it via your page, yet your system wouldnt refund my full amount event though it had only been 24 hours since purchase. California law allows for refunds for 30 days.
So I contacted my credit card. yet I see my free blogs have been disabled.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello there, I’ve tagged this thread for Staff for follow up on your refund issue. Thanks for your patience while they get back to you.

As far as sites being disabled, the site you’ve linked to angelsofthemoonandstars.wordpress.com is up and running. If you are referring to a different WordPressdotcom or account, please share those details. Thanks.

So I contacted my credit card.

Hello again. If you opened a dispute with your credit card company, that may be the reason your site(s) are currently disabled.

You’ll want to review this support guide for further information https://en.support.wordpress.com/payment/chargebacks/ As is mentioned there

WordPress.com cannot issue a refund while a dispute is active.

If relevant to the issue*, after reviewing that guide, please let us know whether you have cancelled the dispute.

    Hi moonmother1,

I see you disputed the payment for angelsofthemoonandstars.wordpress.com and your card provider issued a chargeback against us. Chargebacks are a fraud prevention tool and therefore shouldn’t be used for requesting refunds. When a chargeback is issued, all upgrades are removed and your account is locked until you either cancel the dispute or pay a chargeback fee.

The payment is locked from our side so if you haven’t done so already, please try contacting your card provider to see whether it would be possible to cancel the dispute so we can look at a refund.

    Hi moonmother1,

It is no longer possible to cancel the dispute because your card provider has now reversed the charge. At this stage, we are no longer able to issue a refund because the money is already on its way back to you — this process can take up to 75 days, which is why we recommend contacting us for a refund rather than disputing the payment.

Please contact your bank if you need any further information about when the money will credit your account.

I did contact via chat, but the gal didnt know what to do, after several tries I gave up and just went through the credit card. I had been on chat with her for a few hrs, unfortunately with a small child, i dont have hours to resolve minor online issues.

When I 1st ordered to have a new separate website, I was looking to do a new webpage, but it assigned to my free blog. The chat people took forever to attempt to fix that, I then realized trying to resolve any issues via chat online wasnt going to work for building a NEW potential website. So I did cancel, yet it wouldnt refund the full amount. I did this within the first 24 hours.
So when will I be able to use my free BLOG account again?

  • So when will I be able to use my free BLOG account again?

As soon as you pay the chargeback fee to unlock your site. If you go to My Site ->Plans you’ll see a notice at the top of the page with a link you can use to do that.

The only difference between a “website” and a blog is in the way you set it up (a blog is also a website, but just one with the focus on a news feed rather than static pages). We have a detailed tutorial on how to use WordPress.com to set up a traditional page-based site here:
