My free blog site name and dates

Just created a new site. I chose one name, but the site ended up with another name. I also posted a first blog and the date on it is November of 2014. I’m not ready to upgrade yet, but do I need to do that before I can control these items?

Hi there, that is odd. Did you by chance edit the original “Hello World” that was present when you first set up your site, or did you create it from scratch?
The good news is that you can edit the date for that first post and set it to the date you wish. Although this support page talks about Scheduling a Post, the procedure for changing the date is the same.

I’ll try resetting the date and let you know if that fixes the issue. Yes, I did edit the Hello world.
