  My free domain name from wordpress Is different from the domain name I want to purchase from WP. Will this cause any problem for the followers I have at wordpress? Will the followers I have need to “follow” my blog again?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  If you use domain mapping of your custom domain name to your blog, your followers will not see any difference other than the address changes that they see in their browser.

  So if you have my-stupid-name.wordpress.com with followers – and you buy and map kool-name.com to stupid – your visitors will see “kool-name.com – same house same family – just two addresses. All the old links will keep on working.

  Sort of like magic
