my free wordpress url address
-
I want to start over and cancel two of my free wordpress url addresses.
The ones I want to delete are:
1. https://cliponpatternholder.wordpress.com
2. https://cliponholder.wordpress.com
After they are gone I want to create a new site and request the first domain all over again, which is cliponpatternholder.wordpress.com and start creating the site all over again.
The reason is because I am trying to get rid of the ‘Text Widget’ blurb at the top right of my site, (if that is possible), and every time I try to delete out all the content but keep the address it adds new info at the end of the address, like: https://cliponpatternholder.wordpress.com/in-your-lap
All I want for my address is cliponpatternholder.wordpress.com and nothing else. Can someone help me with this? The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
Deleting a site removes not only the site, but also the site address. If you want to use cliponpatternholder.wordpress.com better to clear out your existing content following this guideline: https://en.support.wordpress.com/empty-site/
cliponpatternholder.wordpress.com/in-your-lap is a page that you have created. If you follow the above guideline to clear out your site content, it will also be deleted.
The text widget in the sidebar is a part of the Twenty Sixteen theme and can be removed. You can also entirely remove the sidebar with the No-Sidebar Layout option. Here’s more about how to work with Twenty Sixteen: https://wordpress.com/themes/twentysixteen/
If all you want to do is replace that text widget with something else, you can add or remove any of the available widgets in the Customizer. Here’s more on that: https://en.support.wordpress.com/category/widgets-sidebars/ and https://en.support.wordpress.com/customizer/
If you want to delete your second site at cliponholder.wordpress.com here is how you do that: https://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/
Again, once deleted the site content and the site address will be gone forever. This is permanent and cannot be recovered. You may want to consider changing the site visibility to Private and using it for testing things. Here’s how you do that: https://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/
Lastly, there are many help resources available to you, including the forums for general questions. Here’s some resources to get you started:
