My friend is being harrased by a spammer!

Ok, I am posting this on behalf of my friend DS. ( http://dragonshensi.wordpress.com/ ) DS and I have hosted our blogs here since January. He is constantly being harrased by someone who calls himself “sean connery” (yeah, like the actor)
He would keep leaving this post
“Dragons?!”
We blocked him but he keeps showing up as different names, pretending to have something legitimate to say. As soon as DS sproves one of his Legitament comments, sean keeps spamming “dragons!?” on as many posts as he can.
I recently saw a comment on my blog waiting for approval. It was from Sean and went like this:
” Check out my new site.
http://dragonshensei.wordpress.com/ “
at first I thought he had hacked DS’s blog…then I realized he created his own and changed a letter.
Can you please do something about this harrassment. Sean has went as far as too spam the blogs on DS’s blogroll. You have never let us down before!

we have tried every one of those. (he gave me blog powers so I could help stop sean) sean always finds a way back.

Block the user name and any URLs they link to. Also require a WordPress.com login and/or enable moderation (both suggested in the FAQ, both currently disabled on your blog).
If harassing comments are still posted with the login setting enabled (item 1 in the FAQ), please contact support with examples of those comments so we can deal with that user.

-we did that! He keeps showing up under diffrent names the writing legitimate comments then as soon as one of his comments is approved, he starts spamming.

-1st of all, he has an account now! 2ndly if wordpress regestration was required, that would lessen the amounts of comments. (and I don’t think my friend would want that)
We have tried all 5 things in that FAQ. (exept for 5, but turning off comments for 1 post won’t do any good) We have been trying to get him to stop for quite a few months now. (since febuary or march)
so far none of this advice is helping! We have both been trying to get rid of him and we can’t. That is why I am coming for to you to help.

I thought this was support! Is this even the right place to request help?!
You seem to think that I am some sort of noob who is whining at the first spammer he sees. That is not the case. I have seen other ones and used that FAQ to get rid of them. This one is very persestant though. He has went as far as to get the screenname, and email address of a legitimate member (a person who viseted the site regularly) and left dozens of spam comments under his name. This guy is persistent.
as far as his comments…most of them go this:

If he posts spam or harassing comments while logged in and you send us examples we can cancel his account, and might be able to prevent him from creating new ones.
This is the support forum, inhabited mainly by friendly users. The Support link at the top of every page will put you in touch with staff members.
If the user is willing and able to change IP addresses, email addresses and continue creating new accounts, there is nothing staff can do to prevent that – moderation is your solution.

When we tried to use the auto blacklist and moderation, we were trying to block IP adresses. I think I am gonna blacklist the word “connery” and send “sean” and “dragons!?” to moderation.

ok…uh, I am sorry to even create this topic.
I just found out who it is and it is actually 2 people that I know in real life. This was apparently all sort of some incredibly elaborate 7 month long prank. (there is a reason and a story behind it, but the explanation would probably be long enough to take up a whole book)
So, after tonight it will all be over. no more spamming from “sean connery”.
I would like to apologize for taking your time (had I known that this was such an insidious prank I would not have posted this topic) Thank you for you help.

well, they were not friends.
I have 2 groups of close friends….both of these groups hate each other…(long story)
I am typically the man in the middle. Usually something like that would be a big problem…but the 2 groups have only met in RL once…the rest in online. (once again…long story)
