My Friend Tai Wants To Own Our Site Alone
-
This is the link: https://poetryshowcase.wordpress.com/ and it is in my collection as admin. I read the ‘how to transfer a site’ by WordPress and tried to mouse over the title to find transfer this site, but it was not there. My mouse-over just said ‘leave site’.
Does this mean that Tai has it and I can leave the site? It is all her poetry and should be set up so she can route in under her e mail. (email visible only to moderators and staff) She asked: Officially how do I stand in regard to ownership of wordpress as you registered the name. In other words can I say that it’s my website ?
Thanks!! You can let me know at my e mail, (email visible only to moderators and staff)The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
First check to make sure Tai is an admin. Go to My Site ->People ->Add. If the new owner is already a non-admin contributor on the site, you can change their role to that of admin at My Site ->People ->Team. The new admin will need to accept the invitation before you can transfer the domain to them.
Have you tried this?

Hi there,
Only the owner of a site can transfer the site to someone else. Other admins on the site do not have the ability.
The site, https://poetryshowcase.wordpress.com/, is owned by the username, poetryshowcase, so you’ll need to be logged in as that user to transfer the site to someone else.
The instructions you gave apply to the transfer of a custom domain. For transferring ownership of a WordPress.com site, see:
