My friends cannot access my website/blog
-
Kia ora. When my friends follow this link https://fanshiwanderingandwondering.wordpress.com/ they are sent to my home page, but instead of being able to read my posts, they are invited to reate a free website or blog at WordPress. What have I done wrong?
WP.com: Yes
Correct account: YesThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I may be missing a setting that needs to be changed, but I don’t know what it is. All the posts have been published and their settings show them as public as is the overall blog. WordPress even sent me a congratulatory email. But my friends can’t see the blog and I can’t either if I’m not logged in to my account. Thank you.

@talkaboutartists the links you posted on your site are only ment for internal use by the owner. Instead you must use the permalink, https://en.support.wordpress.com/wordpress-editor/links/
-
@junksailor your site only shows the frontpage. You must set up a site menu, https://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/

Thanks for looking at my blog. To make the links, I used the link button in the blocks. The url I used in the link was the one offered up by the system. In the dashboard settings, I cannot find a permalink screen (although some references say that’s where it is). Where should I look? Thank you.

It’s all sorted out now ☺️. For some reason, I didn’t get the ‘automatic’ menu. I did it manually and now people can read the Blog. Thanks for the help.

Hi. It’s not necessary to know how to create links in order to display a link list of posts. This can easily be accomplished with the Blog Posts Block, the Latest Posts Block, or with Display Posts Shortcode.

Thank you, musicdoc1.
The blog posts block is very fast, but unfortunately it doesn’t pick up all the posts. I have 11 and the block picks up only 8. -
You can set the number of items to be displayed with the Blog Posts Block, as indicated and illustrated in the Display Settings subsection of the Block Settings section of the Blog Posts Block support page. Also note that the first sentence of the support page says:
Use the Blog Post block to insert a list or grid of up to 100 blog posts (or pages, testimonials, or projects!) on any page.

Thank you musicdoc1. I saw that setting somewhere in my thrashing about but then couldn’t find it again when I needed it. Fortunately, my friends say the site is working now. Thanks again.
