My Front Page Is Messing Up
-
Okay, so I have two blogs, one works fine. And this new one I’ve just made. I’ve just made one post, and the problem is it won’t display on my front page even if I have it set to ‘latest posts’ and not ‘static’. Ironically, the post I’m trying to get on there is called ‘Kash vs. Static’. What happened is I originally posted this as a blog post, but then I thought the ‘blog’ section is a bit redundant because it stopped showing up there after I set my home page to show the ‘latest posts’. This worked for the time being, it showed the Static Vs. Kash post on it like it should, but once I deleted the ‘blog section’ the post doesn’t stay on the home. I keep clicking the ‘latest posts’ option in the ‘customize’ menu, and it displays it for a moment, but then it disappears here. The post itself is of course still on the blog somewhere, but I want it at the home page. Here’s the post:
Please help.

Update: It seems that the actual front page of my site in intact, and still shows the post. However the “home” button re-directs me to another url altogether” “https://kashversus.wordpress.com/home/” than the normal front page with should just be:

My thread is getting buried without anyone helping. I still need this problem fixed, I would really appreciate if anyone can offer any insight.

Hey There!
Just remove the /home/ part from the home MENU link.
That should solve the problem.
Let me know if you have more questions – I’d love to help you!

Hey Lucan, uh I tried that already, but I’m not sure if I did it right. So I click “home” go down to edit in the page, and in the link icon, I backspace the “/home/” part and click update. It doesn’t seem to do anything. Am I doing it right?

Hi @epickash, it looks like the menu was made when you experimented with a static page. So here’s what I’d do.
– Go to https://wordpress.com/pages and delete that blank page called Home (do make sure you have the right site selected)
– Head to Customize > Menus > Menu Locations
– Click Edit under your current menu
– Remove the Home link
– Add it again (this will fix its url)
– Save your changes
That will do the trick!

@supernovia My man! Thank you very much, that did the trick nicely. Appreciate it. Uh, just a side note though, do you know what’s with the little question marks at the right of each of the menu links at the top?
