My front page widget images are not equal size
-
Can you help? I’m using the Sela theme and am setting up 3 front page widget images. However, 2 of the 3 are the same size and the 3rd is either to small or too large. It throws off the whole front page – do you know I can fix it?
I’ve tried cropping the image and using different resolutions but it makes no difference.

Afternoon,
I don’t understand the problem here, maybe you can help explain it a little more. I see all 4 pictures you have set up as the same size. Three in a row then a new row with the 4th. If it is still not showing up right for you, it is possible that you need to empty your cache and try loading it again. Also, a good idea is to have either a new browser or use Incognito Mode, Private Mode, to load your website while not logged in to WordPress.
If it is still giving you issues, please let us know and we will certainly get to the bottom of this.
Thanks

I also presently find four images in the front page widget areas (two in the second area and one each in the other two) and that all four images in the appear to be the same size. Have you resolved the issue? If not, which image or images appear unlike the others in size?

I found a short term solution to the problem by putting 2 images in the second widget area.
I’ll change it back to 3 images and you can see it more clearly.

Now I see it, very interesting. If you can keep it this way, a staff member can take a look and help you with this.
Thanks

Hi, all!
I am not staff but take a look at this:
I believe this comes down to the photos having a different aspect ratio.
See staff member staff-loquaciousloon ‘s response on this thread:
https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/need-help-with-image-size-on-sela-theme?replies=6The first three source images are three different sizes:
1024×56
1024×709 and
1024 x683If these are the same ratio, the photos should work. Feel free to wait for staff response, to confirm, though.
Best Regards.

Hi there,
@chistinemaze has given you the correct answer. Your images have different height to width ratios, so if the theme resizes them to all be the same width, they are at different heights. The only way to prevent this is to use images that have the same aspect ratio.
You’ll need to edit the images to the same aspect ratio offline, and then upload the resized/cropped images to the media library, before adding them to the widgets.
