  My Google Blog Doc Ipad App will no long post to my wordpress blog I get the message
  Response from server does not contain valid XML

  I’ve used the Google Blog Doc successfully since I 1st started my wordpress blog and would really like to continue using it.

  Do you have a solution to this problem?

  We have seen a few reports of this error message, so I’ve added yours to the list for our developers to take a look. Knowing more about the application you’re using would be a big help though.

  Can you tell me more about the iPad application you’re using? What’s it’s exact name?

  Thanks for the prompt reply.Below is a copy of the message I received from the developer of the app stating word press “changed their API” and that is why it isn’t posting.

  When you set up the app to connect to your blog, exactly what address did you tell it to use for your website? Please would check the settings on the app to be sure, and then let me know.

  I expect it was something like “orach24463.wordpress.com” but it would help us help you if you can confirm exactly. Thanks.

  Hi there!

  Paul took a look at the code and the message you passed on from the app’s support team. We’ve been moving all of the sites hosted with us to secure HTTP connections over the past few months.

  This means that in your settings for your site in the app, you’ll need to change your site’s URL from:

  http://orach24463.wordpress.com/

  to:

  https://orach24463.wordpress.com/

  The only change here is the new address starts with “https” instead of “http” (note the s at the end).

  Let me know if you have any questions about this, or if you have trouble making this change.

  Thank you very much for your help with this problem. I made your suggested change to my blog address and was able to post the blog from my google blog app. The only glitch was the youtube video did not post for some reason http://youtu.be/58mDaK9bH5o Thanks again for your help.

  I’m glad you’re not getting that error anymore!

  It looks like your YouTube link was turned into a hyperlink instead of becoming an embed. You might want to try using the YouTube shortcode:

  http://en.support.wordpress.com/videos/youtube/#embedding-with-a-shortcode
