My Graphic URL for posting Another Site

    I have the latest WordPress loaded on my site, and I’m a novice user except for things I figure out as I go along. I need assistance for how to provide a URL to one of my graphics to someone else.

    E.g. I have MustReadOreo.jpg file sitting in my wp-content/images/2015/06 directory. I’ll go in to grab the image’s URL, and I’ll paste it into a browser, but it says it can’t find it on the site.

    I know enough to go in and change permissions for the directories, but I’m stumped as to how to allow someone else to use a link I provide them with to see the image. Example. I want some one to use my cover for an add. I give them the URL but it doesn’t pull in the image, it pulls in image error message. I’ve double checked my code for the advertisement, and it’s correct.

    This happened once before a long time ago, and I fixed it, but I don’t remember what I did to correct the problem. I’ve spent the last four hours searching Google trying to find an answer and found nothing.

    Any help anyone can give me would be deeply appreciated.
