My gravatar is linking to a deleted blog
-
Hi, I had to change the name of my blog to avoid a conflict. I have been all through my profiles, the only blog I have listed is my current talesfromexpatria yet when I post a comment it always directs back to my old blog (talesfromexpatica) and if you click on my gravatar name people get the message “this blog has been deleted”. Can you please help, I can’t find anyway to correct this myself.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

in wordpress
users>my profile> bottom of the page…although there may be something you can manually set in the gravatar site itself as well which you may have done (not sure on that last point)

Thanks for your message. That was my first port of call, I added a link to the current blog.
I’ve been to gravatar and wordpress areas and I can’t find anything, anywhere on any page or account info that links me to the old blog, but still if you click on my name, that’s where you get sent.
Messages to support team did not generate a response… bummer.

This change is not retrocative. You chaneg the primary blog link here > Dashboard -> Users -> Personal Settings -> then scroll down to Account Details. Then scroll down to where it says ‘Website‘ select the URL for your primary wordpress.com blog and then save changes. Then you accept the fact that all comments you posted prior to making that change will be still linked to the deleted blog. Only comments you make after the chnage will reflect the change to the new primary blog linked to.

Did all this when I first changed the blog URL last year. I don’t have the old blog or its URL named anywhere on my wordpress account.

If the instructions posted do not result in changing the primary blog linked to your username from the deleted blog to your active blog, then you will have to contact Staff and ask for their help.
