My header isn’t showing up
-
I customized my header a few weeks ago and everything was working perfectly. But today, when I go to my site, it isn’t showing up. There is just a blank space where the header should be. Does anyone know why this might be happening? I haven’t made any new changes to the site which may have caused this to happen.
my site is: http://babyccinoblog.wordpress.com
Thanks for your help! -

I can see it just fine. “Babyccino Kids and the city”
Have you tried a force refresh?
-
I have force refreshed and still no header image! (and it’s not working on my other computer either).
i’m glad you can see it. but i’m still frustrated by why i can’t. (also- just called a friend, and she can’t see the header image either). so bizarre.
any other ideas?
thanks for you help. -
Have you tried:
– Logging in and out.
– Clearing the cache.
– Clearing cookies.
– Closing browser.
– Using a different browser to check. One of those or all should do it! :)
-
I can’t see it in FF2 or Konqueror (Fedora 7).
I can’t see it in FF2 or IE7 (Vista).
I can’t see it in FF2 or IE7 (XP Pro)Firefox on Vista doesn’t have Ad Block Plus running, but the other 2 FF installs do.
I’m connecting from S. Korea through a DSL line. The Fedora and Vista computers are wired and the XP computer is wireless.
There’s at least one other thread where people are posting with issues with custom headers. This seems to point to a more general issue.
-
Yes. I think it’s a more general issue. I have logged out, shut down my computer, and cleared cookies, and my header is still not showing up.
Also, like i said, it isn’t working on my other computer either (nor my friend’s). This must be a bigger issue.
But how do I resolve it??
Help! (please)!
thanks -
It seems to be a somewhat random issue because now I can see your header (at least in FF2/Fedora).
You can try contacting staff when they open in the morning (about 4.5 hours from now). But there’s not much you can do other than that.
Make sure to send them all the pertinent information (blog address, browser and version number, operating system) and include a link to this thread where both cat and I have given our experiences. You might also want to include a link to the other ongoing thread on this issues (https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic.php?id=18879&page&replies=36) showing that it’s more than just your blog.

@grounded
When I go to view you header image, http://groundedsettled.files.wordpress.com/2007/11/groundedheader.jpg , it gives me a 404 file not found error. Try re-uploading the image. And just for reference I’m including the following. When creating and uploading an image to wordpress.com here are some basics worth remembering:
(1) Be sure your image is one of these file types – jpg, jpeg, png, gif (Note that bmp’s cannot be uploaded due to size).
(2) Do not use anything in the file name except letters and numbers. Use no spaces, no dashes, no underscores, or any type of special character or punctuation, except for the dot between the file name and the extension. Also make sure that the file name has an extension.
(3) If you are using iPhoto, then use the “export” function under the file menu to export the image to your desktop before trying to upload it to WordPress.
(4) If you are not using the image in thumbnail size, make sure that the image is not too wide for the post area in your particular theme. You can find maximum image widths for the most popular themes here: http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/09/25/how-big-can-my-images-be/
(5) Optimize your images so that your blog pages will load faster. See http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/05/08/optimise-your-images/
(6) How to upload pictures in posts: http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/07/16/how-do-i-upload-pictures/
(7) How do I get text to go around a picture: http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/05/29/how-do-i-get-text-to-go-around-a-picture/ -
