My Home Image
-
Hi !
I’m starting my blog, and I picked the Gateway theme. I tried to change the big image that you first see on the home page (a view of Manhattan’s buildings), but I couldn’t find how ! It’s definitely not the ‘header image’… Maybe you just can’t change the home image with that special theme ? How am I supposed to do ?
Thank you for your help !The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
Congratulations! It looks like you discovered that it was a featured image on the homepage template, and figured out how to change it.

Are you referring to the site https://afroginarizona.wordpress.com/. It certainly no longer has view of the Manhattan skyline at the top of the homepage. You didn’t change it to an image of a canyon with a river running through it?
It’s either your site header, or a featured image on the static homepage. From the Homepage section of the Gateway theme guide:
2. If you wish, assign the page a Featured Image to appear as a background to the header. If no Featured Image is assigned, the Custom Header Image will be used instead.

It’s either the custom header image, or a featured image. If you didn’t assign a featured image, then it must be a custom header image.

Yes, thank you a lot musicdoc1, I finally found how to change it ! I hadn’t understood that you had to update the home page, I was looking in the Customizer part…
