  How can I change a picture on my home page where there is no edit or pencil icon?

  Yes, that’s the correct site.
  No, wrong picture. The picture I want to change is directly below – a knight figure bending over the hand of a lady.
  Sorry, I can’t seem to get a picture in here or a link to it.

  That’s your page titled Home. You can edit that page, just like any other page, and remove it there. :)
