my home page has items from a template i cannot remove

  i used a template but was having trouble with it so i went to pages and deleted all the pages but when i go online the template is still there

  What’s the website address (URL)?

  The homepage of a WordPress.com site either displays the latest posts or a single page. If it’s displaying a page, then the name of that page may be found in the top drop-down menu at Customize > Homepage Settings.

  So if you have a static page set as the homepage, once you identify it, then you may open the corresponding page editor and delete or replace its content.
