my home page link is being redirected to a wrong page

  • Unknown's avatar

My home page’s web address: meteortravel.wordpress.com/ is being redirected to another page with the words “Front Page” on top, this page also has a pull down menu showing my various links in my wordpress site. It looks like a contact page. But I deleted my contact page, it still links this wrong page. When I scrolled down to the end of the page, it provides a link to my full site. But if my audience clicks on the above mentioned link, it looks like requiring users to fill out their contact info. The above link is supposed to link it to my home page, but it’s not.

Any suggestion to fix this problem??

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

This is what I see when I go to https://meteortravel.wordpress.com/

    Is this not correct?

That’s what I want my home page address link to the screen shot you took. But it links to a page look like a contact page.

Did you use your desktop to click on my link or your cell phone? I put my link: meteortravel.wordpresscom/ on my instagram page and click on this link using my cell phone, it ends up link to a wrong page similar to a contact page (Not the screen shot you sent me). My friend also has the same experience (link to wrong page ) when she clicked on my home page link

I want to share that contact page (wrong page) with you, but I don’t know how to send it via wordpress forum.

    thanks for helping me out!

Thanks for adding that extra info.

I accessed your site via the link in the first forum reply on my PC desktop computer in a web browser (Chrome). That’s what you see in my screenshot.

If you are accessing this link from instagram on your mobile, I can’t duplicate that experience at the moment, but can try later tonight. Since there is no instagram widget on your site (that I could find), please either add the widget or give us the link to your instagram page.

Also, what mobile phone/browser are you using?

Is your friend also clicking on the link from instagram? Is she also on mobile?

Just in general Oxygen, the theme you are using, is responsive and when resized for viewing on a mobile device shrinks and hides the top menu behind a MAIN MENU button that when clicked, expands to reveal the entire menu.

Just to clarify, here’s a screenshot of what the browser window looks like resized (temporary screenshot)

I saw the 2nd screen shot you sent me. Did you use your cell phone to visit my site and get the 2nd screen shot? That will be perfect if it’s like your 2nd screen shot. I can only have the same format like your 2nd screen shot after scrolling down to the bottom of the page and click the link: view full site by using my cell phone. Most of the content on the wrong page is requiring audience to fill in their contact info. The audience still can access my correct home page (same format as your 2nd screen shot ) indirectly by clicking the link: “view full site” at the bottom of that wrong page using the cell phone i mentioned earlier.

If you search my name: doloresfung12 in instagram, you should be able to find my instagram website. You can try to use your cell phone to access my wordpress website with or without going through my instagram page and see how it looks like.

My web browser in my cell phone and desktop is Chromo, my cell phone is samsung galaxy s4. I don’t know what version my friend’s cell phone is.

I just tried to use a laptop to access my wordpress site, it works. It went to the same page you visited (the 1st screen shot you sent me earlier). I guess it went to my correct home page if we use desktop and laptop but not cell phone.

I just accessed your site’s homepage at the link above on my Galaxy Samsung G4. It looks like you enabled the Mobile theme for your site, but as I mentioned above, your theme, Oxygen, is already mobile friendly.

Go to your WP Admin Dashboard> Appearance> Mobile and select NO next to Enable Mobile theme. Remember to save your changes.
