‘My Home’ screen, ‘Own your online identity with a custom domain’ option

    Why ‘sergeiblumin.wordpress.com’ is crossed out, while shown as ‘Current’? Is this the reason why visibility of my blog lately became limited on Internet, and does it mean that the other option ‘sergeiblumin.blog,’ shown as ‘Available,’ should be bought in order to increase visibility?

    The visibility of your blog is unaffected by the module you see on your My Home screen. The crossed-out WordPress.com address is just a visual to show you what your site address will become if you upgrade to a WordPress.com plan and choose a custom domain (such as sergeiblumin.blog, but you can choose any other address else you want). This is a suggestion shown on your dashboard.

    Having said that, when you use a custom domain on your site, you do stand out from the free WordPress.com addresses. If you’re looking to take your site to the next level and use advanced features like analytics and SEO, you would be better served with a WordPress.com plan and a custom domain.
