My image caption stretches more than the size of the image.
-
I have had really lengthy captions for images before and it works well (text is neatly placed just beneath the breadth of image). However, for my recent post, the caption simply stretches all the way such that the whole caption forms a single line. It’s ugly and takes up space.
I want my caption to stretch just the same as the breadth of my image, forming lines of words beneath it if the caption is lengthy, not a single line.
I’m new, please help. Thanks. :]

If it helps, I would like my caption to turn out like this:

Thanks vivian for replying, but I didn’t publish the post as it look unorganized and unsightly. I was thinking of fixing the problem before I publish the post. Any idea how to fix the problem? Thanks once again for replying. :)

Maybe try adding the break tags. First write the first line. Press the Enter key. Then place the tags
<br /></br>Then to have it all centered if that many lines show, place the centering tags.
<div align="center">At the beginning of everything. Then close the tag at the end of it all.
</div> -

I think staff are tinkering with the way things are displayed right now. I’d drop them a line via the Support button on your dashboard.

pornstarbabylon,
What you’ve suggested works! The captions are not exactly centralized despite having the codes pasted, but it’s definitely much much better than having everything in a single line! Thank you so much! :Draincoaster,
Thanks for replying too, and I can’t be more glad to know that this is going to be temporary. Thank you for helping me contact the Support team too. It’s greatly appreaciated. :) -
Oh btw, I’ve been also facing the problem of updating a post only to find that everything’s not changed, not even in the visual form, after I had saved the entry and return to the ‘manage post’ page.
Could that be what raincoaster had suggested earlier too?

No, I think that’s different; it would be either a browser caching issue on your end or it would be a server issue, which is a different thing staff would have to deal with.
Try the Cookie Dance: log out, clear browser cache and cookies, and restart. See if that shows you the changes.

I went into the html format and manually inserted the <p>. It works, but I hope there is a long term solution to this.
