I created a portfolio website on word press for my artwork, but after I was done creating the site, the images turned green. Then it said I need to upgrade my plan for the banner, which I assume is the green color over my images. Then I upgraded my plan, but that didn’t change anything. what do I do

    Hi there!

The theme you’re using – Vetro – applies a duotone filter by default to all images added on the site.

To clear that default filter, you need to select each image, click the duotone filter link, and clear the filter as shown here:

    .

Then, make sure to save your changes and that will fix those images. You also mentioned a banner – can you give us more information on that so we can better advise?

However, the only way you would need to pay to upgrade is to get access to the CSS editor (Premium and higher plans) to change that default behavior so you don’t need to clear that filter every time you add a photo to your portfolio.

The WordPress.com Premium plan is ideal for a portfolio website for more reasons than just CSS access. It offers a custom domain name (free for the first year), increased storage space and bandwidth, and advanced customization options. These features are essential for establishing a professional online presence, showcasing work in a visually appealing and user-friendly manner, accommodating large files, and personalizing the website to reflect your brand. Also, having a custom domain name helps to enhance credibility, build brand recognition, and make it easier for your visitors to find and remember the website.

I hope that helps! Let us know if you still have trouble or have any other questions. :)
