My images from my site have all disappeared, how do I get them to display again?

  My images have disappeared – I am using google chrome and I have tried clearing browsing data including cache; this hasn’t worked.

  I changed my site address and title today and then all of a sudden when I log onto my site the images are not there – they have the little page symbol in the centre and when you click it it tries to re load and says could not find image, sometimes.

  I don’t understand… all my entries are still there, just the images aren’t displaying.

  They appear to be in my media gallery still.

  Can you please help?

  When I looked at your blog- I checked out the images that weren’t displaying properly: they still had the directory of 20somethingsearchingforsomthing at the beginning of their link.

  Are the images being uploaded from your desktop? (or a folder on your computer) or are they being uploaded from a website?

  You may have to go in and re-upload those images so that they have the correct path. Or you might be able to edit their address in your media library. When you click on the image it will show you the https address for that image- if it is under the old name, try changing it to the new one. It looks as if the images are trying to be retrieved to your old address- and because of that are not able to display properly. It is worth a shot!

  I noticed that some of your images are loading properly- and they have notesfromascotsgirl at the beginning of their address.

  Thanks for you reply!

  Most of the time the images are being uploaded from my ‘downloads’ folder on my laptop.

  I have gone into my media library – but the URL’s for the images are showing as my new name…

  Hmm… have you recently moved any of these images out of the ‘downloads’ folder to a new location on your computer? I had an issue at one point that I had a beautiful gallery set up on my blog. I then had a spring cleaning moment and reorganized all of my images on my computer, and when I went back to my blog a bunch of my images were no longer there. It was because I had changed the path from where the blog was uploading the images from.

  Check that out maybe? If not- I think still the best option would be to delete the old images from your media gallery that aren’t displaying and re-upload them again.
