My Import from Tumblr is stuck (again)

    Hi there,

    My Tumblr Importer is stuck on importing and no new posts from that site have been processed on WordPress.

    Please can you reset the importer again for me?

    As with your previous request, on our end your last import (the one before this one) appears to have been successful. I have reset the importer so you can try again, but before you do, can you clarify on what content is missing from your import?

    I see that here on WordPress.com you have 1,878 published blog posts, so it sounds like you are importing a lot of content, which maybe the source of some issues here. What is the URL of the Tumblr you are importing from, and how are you aware that content is missing?

    Hi again,

    Apologies for the many requests to the imports!

    I’m importing all the Campbell Quay specific posts from my blog on Tumblr which is RurplePlaysSims, and I delete the odd ones out. At the moment, I’m posting 6 posts a day (minimum) for the next month at least. This WordPress site is my backup as well as an independent site.

    According to my WordPress (Tumblr) Importer, it’s still ‘In Progress’ and the last post that was successfully imported was from 7th Sept.

    Hi again,

    No more posts have been added since the 7th Sept and the Importer is still stuck on ‘In Progress’.

    I’m not showing any active imports on our end. Try clearing your browser cache to reset things.

    If you’re still having this problem, please take a screenshot of the problem in question. If you’re not familiar with how to take a screenshot, this support document will help explain how to make one:

    Take a Screenshot

    Then, use a service like Snipboard.io to upload the screenshot and then share the image link from that service here and we’ll take a closer look.

    Yes it seems to have worked! Thank you for your help.

    I’m hoping it doesn’t get stuck again, I think I’ll back it up once a week, rather than at the end of everyday. Are there any things I can do to prevent it sticking?

    I just checked on the status of your import, and it’s still running without any issues. If it fails again, please let us know, and we’ll look into it.
