My invitees are not receiving email notification of my new posts.

My invitees do not receive email notices of my new posts. My site is private – does that have anything to do with it? Also, some chose to “follow” – do you need to follow in order to receive email notifications?

They got the initial invite so I’m thinking that’s not the problem. WordPress makes new users create an account that seems to also be a blog – at least that’s what’s being reported back to me. I’ve tried testing it myself but my browser remembers me. Maybe I need to clear my cache so I can better test it?

I have the same issue, invitees do not receive email notifications neither did i receive notifications that they are now successfully following me. My blog is public.
They were directed to click on a link, yet it still does not go through -
