My Jetpack follower counts are inaccurate
-
In the last few days my Jetpack subscriber numbers dropped by 1/4. I understand there is a problem with them dispalying correctly. I tried clearing the cache as recommended in the support forum, but the number is still the same. So, as recommended, I am contacting you.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
Can you let me know how many subscribers you’re seeing and what you expect to see? Right now I see that you have 76 email and WordPress.com subscribers, plus 4,083 Twitter followers. If that doesn’t sound right to you, please let me know and I can take another look!
-
Hi there, no that’s not accurate. A few days ago I had 99 blog followers and I have 4133 twitter followers.
Thanks.

Good news! I found your missing blog followers — for some reason they ended up back on your old WordPress.com blog. I just started the transfer to move them back to your Jetpack blog. It may take some time (possibly a couple hours) for them to appear there, but you should be all set now.
Please let me know if those followers don’t show up or if you have any other concerns about this. :)

Thanks very much. I don’t have that many, so every one counts. Is there a way to clean up the two accounts? I’m also moving my URL over to my webhost. Is that going to affect anything?
They’re still not there but I will check back later.

Hi there – It looks like Jetpack isn’t currently connected on your site. Can you please try reconnecting Jetpack? Once your connection is established, I’ll try the migration again to see if there were any missed subscribers.
And nope, transferring your domain won’t affect this. :)

So where are people subscribing to/from now? Because I’ve gained about 25 subscribers since I switched from Feedburner to Jetpack. And, I get stats and stuff from JetPack. Everything was fine until a few days ago.
Any thoughts on that?

It was connected before. Sometimes something happens and the connection gets disrupted for some reason. Disconnecting and reconnecting should fix it.
-
I’m not sure how to do that. Someone did it for me before.
Is there instructions anywhere?
-
Hi there – Sure! Go to Jetpack in your admin area, and click the green ‘connected to WordPress.com’ button to disconnect. Then, click the same button to reconnect.
-
Hi, I have followed all your instructions (cleared cache, jetpack), and I’m still missing my blog followers (even though I have gotten a few more in the meantime…)
Any thoughts?

Hi there – Jetpack still does not seem to be connected on your http://www.beniceorleavethanks.com/ site. When I check your URL in the debugger here, I get this message:
“We were unable to make an XML-RPC request to your website. Please make sure that XML-RPC is turned on and that Jetpack is installed, activated and connected with your WordPress.com account. If the error persists, try disconnecting and connecting Jetpack again.”
Can you please try disconnecting and reconnecting one more time? Then, please reply and let me know so I can check your connection again.

Hi there – Ok, it’s connected and I did another migration to see if any followers were missed, but there was only one on the old site to move over. We are having a bit of an issue right now with follower counts not displaying properly, and that might be what’s happening in your case. We’re looking into it and I’ll keep you updated.
