my latest blog does not appear under Archives or Categories nor in Admin/Posts

  My latest blog under the heading Vintage Cuckfield Going Strong has been published and is accessible from the Vintage tab on my site. But it is not listed under any of the usual navigation aids – except if the title is typed in to the search window – nor does it appear as the default post when the site is opened. Instead the previous post comes up.
  Any ideas on how to fix this?

  You can fix this by publishing the article as a post instead of a static page.

  I had no idea that I had published as a static page! How did I do that?
  To fix do I simply re-publish, or do I have to do an edit then re-publish – or what?

  You went to Pages > Add New instead of Posts > Add New – there’s no other way.

  To fix do I simply re-publish, or do I have to do an edit then re-publish – or what?

  You go to Pages > All Pages, click the page title to edit the page, switch the editor to Text (=code), select all the content, copy, click Move to Trash; then you go to Posts > Add New, type the title, make sure the editor is switched to Text, paste the content, publish.
