My latest post is "invisible"

  My latest post isn’t showing up on my main page. I’ve checked all the settings and can’t for the life of me figure out what’s different about this post that is making it “invisible”.

  Please help.

  You currently have 24 sticky posts that appear above your latest post. By default, WordPress.com blogs display posts in reverse chronological order on the home page with the latest post at the top. There isn’t a way to display posts in chronological order, but you can mark some posts as Sticky to make them appear above the other posts. They will stay at the top of your posts until you uncheck that option on the Edit screen for that post.

  You can mark a post as sticky by checking the option that says “Stick this post to the front page” in the Publish settings on any post.

  Hi kartodim,

  I’ve been using stickies for months now, and everything was fine with my last post. There are only 6 stickies that are currently published, so all six should show up. But this one doesn’t.

  I tried removing the picture and putting something else in its stead, but that didn’t work. I’ve also removed “sticky” from a couple of drafts, to make room, since they’re not yet published. But still this one doesn’t show up.

  I’m not sure what else to try…

  Could you please let me know the title of the post you are referring to? Keep in mind: if you mark a post as Sticky but the featured image is less than 750 pixels wide, then it won’t display in the slider and will still disappear from the river of posts.

  You hit the nail right on the head, kardotim: it was the picture size, after all. The worst thing is that I looked at the picture too (obviously not attentively enough) and didn’t clue in.

  Talk about amateur hour… I really should have known better. Sorry to have wasted your time. But thanks SO much for your help :):):)
