My Latest Post Not In Tags Listing
-
Please don’t say I have too many tags. I have been over and over this. I deliberately count my tags now to make sure I haven’t gone over twelve. My newest post has ten. Why isn’t it being listed? I’m getting a bit fed up with the inconsistency with which my posts appear (or not) in the listings. I would like an explanation from someone in charge around here. And, if possible, an actual solution.
Thank you.

Never mind. Apparently I’m not allowed to use both “Texas” and “Texans” for tags on one post. WTF?!
-
Hmmm, I wouldn’t think that would be an issue. If I were you I would contact staff and ask about that.
-
Can you tell me how to contact them? I don’t see how to do that other than posting here.
Thanks.

Check this out. I used the following tags for another post:
Posted in Education, Feminism, Relationships, Society | Edit | Comments Off
Tags: abuse, aftermath, domestic abuse, domestic violence, evil, healingThe post wasn’t listed. I took out “abuse” and it immediately appeared in the listing. That’s crap! They’re all relevant search terms and do not necessarily refer to the same thing.
I think something needs to be done about this kind of thing. It’s a bit… stifling.

I am having the same problem. I only had three tags and my post still did not show up even when searching by one of the tags that was also in the title. help????
-
A post I wrote three days ago still is not listed. These are the tags. Please don’t say it’s because of “my sexy husband”. I started that one, and all my other posts with that tag are there.

@mikesgirl: you can contact support using the link in your dashboard, or by clicking on the link at the bottom of this page, which takes you to http://wordpress.com/contact-support/
Support does not work on the weekends, though.

Now I just made a post that is showing up in some of the tags and not in others. Here are the tags I used:
Posted in Music, On A Positive Note, The Lighter Side | Edit | No Comments »
Tags: childhood, happiness, memories, nostalgia, Statler BrothersI wonder if someone can tell me the right combination or the code to this? It’s getting a bit ridiculous.

No wait… they’re there, they’re just way out of order. They’re listed under stuff that was posted 5 months ago. You guys need to fix this.

My latest post …
http://routingbyrumor.wordpress.com/2008/07/20/of-blogs-and-bugs/
isn’t showing up under most of the tags I’ve used.I’ve also noticed that the results displayed for some tags I’ve been viewing today are not always listed in reverse chronological order (newest first).
Actually, I’ve been having problems with my posts not showing up under the tags I’ve assigned to them for the past few weeks. I’ll start playing with the tags, deleting one, adding another, etc., and things will suddenly get indexed correctly. Wierd.

This happens A LOT. I use Categories, not tags.
The categories stop listing posts for no apparent reason.
If they have some secret limits or rules on categories, why don’t they tell us what they are?

In one of the other (several) threads on the subject tellyworth said there was a problem with the matrix and they were fixing it.
-
mikesgirl, I see your post right at the top of the Grievance tag: http://wordpress.com/tag/grievance/ and at appropriate places elsewhere. Likewise for others above.
-
Some of them appeared after I fiddled with the tags. Why can’t I use “abuse” in conjunction with “domestic abuse” and “domestic violence” or “Texans” and “Texas” on the same post?
As to the rest, they were still not there this morning when I made my post about it. Why does it take several days for some posts to be listed while others appear right away?
Also, I’m wondering if anyone in charge has read my post? I have a “final grievance” toward the bottom of it. I sent a link to it via the contact/complaint form.
By the way, like I say at the end of my post, I appreciate everything you guys do here. I love WordPress! This particular bug (if that’s what it is) has just been driving me crazy for several days. And I know I’m not the only one experiencing the problem.
Thanks,

In one of the other (several) threads on the subject tellyworth said there was a problem with the matrix and they were fixing it.
Sorry. I don’t have time or the motivation to dig through all the shit gets posted on these forums, and the titles don’t always accurately describe what the problem is anyway. When I have a question, I ask it. Straight up. No screwing around.
-
I don’t care about your state of mind or communication style; I was just giving you the information that staff knew there was a problem and were looking into it. I’ll save myself the time in future.
-
I read your comment as chastising me for asking a question that had already been asked (“several” times) and answered.
My apologies for misreading it.
