my log in isnt working

    Hi i am moving over to new host old host expired. Now my log in details are not working for wordpress who can i contact regarding this?

    just host my old host there is no way of contacting them any longer I am unsure whats happened.

    Someone please help

    Hi there:

    To avoid confusion, there are three different “WordPress” at play here:

    1. The free, open-source WordPress software which powers your website.
    2. WordPress.org, the open-source project that works on the WordPress software and where you can get the software for free to use on your own hosting provider.
    3. WordPress.com, a managed hosting provider of the WordPress software and with whom you’re contacting now.

    Since we’re a separate hosting provider from the ones you’ve used, we have no access to nor the ability to help you with this. But I can get you pointed in the right direction to get help.

    If you did not transfer your WordPress installation and database to your new host before you canceled your old host, then the old hosting provider would have deleted the files. It’s like when you move to a new house or apartment, your stuff isn’t moved automatically so you need to also move your content.

    Reach out to your old hosting provider for help with getting your site back online with them so you can export the site and import it to your new host. You may need to pay for another month of hosting at your old host in order to do this, but they will be able to confirm that.
