My main page is divorced from my site
-
I don’t even understand how to ask the question. You can get t omy main page by going to http://www.rehabhub.com.au. Once there you can get into other areas of the site by using the menus. Also fine. The problem is that if you want to go back to the main (blog) page you can’t. I dicovered this today when I found that on old draft page became visible when you hit blog on the menu. This page was entitled “Blog” but it wan’t really a blog. I deleted it hoping that somehow this would make it possible for the correct page to be installed. Couldn’t do it. I can’t even find my main “blog” page under pages. I am very confused. I would appreciate any advice. Thanks.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You don’t have a blog, that’s the problem. You only have static pages as far as I can see.
Please brush up on the difference between Pages and Posts before you attempt to fix this.
Then, go to your Settings->General page (or it might be Settings->Reading) and make sure you’ve got the blog set to open on the right page, whether it’s your posts page or a static page. You don’t need a page called BLOG if you’ve got posts.

Each individual sentence you wrote makes sense and I have brushed up on the difference between posts and pages. My blog opens at the correct page but you just can’t get back to it. How do I get my posts to open under the menu heading that says “blog”. Sorry I am a little slow with this stuff.

woops I just reread this and it is wrong. My blog (my site) opens at the correct posts but I jsut can’t back to them (not page as this isn’t a page)

You have your “blog” menu item linked to your “about” page. Even your link to your blog entries in your “about” page links back to the about page. You need to change those links so they lead back to your home page, which is your blog — unless you want your homepage to be your “about” page (which is probably not as good as having your blog page be your home page). First, go into your “about” page (which you’ve called “blog” in the menu, but which is “about-us”) and change the internal link so that it leads to your blog (your main page — http://www.rehabhub.com.au/), then go into your menu, find your “blog” label and rename it “about us” (or whatever you want to call it) if you are able to, and then create a new “home” menu item that leads to the correct link.
If you have problem with the menu, I’ll have a link to the helpful support page for you in a moment. ;-)

Currently this is your home page > http://rehabhub.com.au/ and it has your posts on it. There is only one dynamic page in a blog for posts and we cannot post to more than that one page. It’s usually the front page of the blog.

Where do I find the internal link? The about only became linked to the blog menu item and link in the about page when I deleted the draft blog page. Prior to that the menu item and the link went to the draft blog page, so it is some kind of deafult mechanism that made that link. What is the page called where all my posts are. I can’t find it as a page. Are they just a bunch of posts floating around on their own that I need to create a page for?

The link is not ‘lost”.

I do not want the about “us page” as the “home page”. I want the “blog page” that is the one with all my posts on it, as the “home page”. This is how it operates at the moment and I do not want that to change. I do need to be able to get back to the home page or blog page with all the posts on it from the menu.

I tried to do that but I do not know where to find this internal link so that I can change it. Where would I find it and how do I change it?
Also, my if the home page or blaog page with all the posts on it currently exists, why is it not in my list of pages? I need a reference for it, to create a link to it, don’t I?

By “internal link” (probably not the best way of putting it), I meant the link that is in the second paragraph of your “About Us” page after the subheading “Injury Management Professionals Change Lives.” Right now, that link leads back to the “About Us” page. All you need to do there is edit the page to change the link to http://rehabhub.com.au/.
The problem with the link in your menu is that the link labelled “blog” is set to go to the “about” page (which I presume is the draft of the “About Us” page?), and you need to change the link in the custom menu so that the link under “blog” goes to http://rehabhub.com.au/ and *not* http://rehabhub.com.au/about.
If you go here — http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/ — you will see how to manage your menu.

To edit your blog’s pages, click the Pages menu in your dashboard. To edit a page, simply click its title. You can also hover over the title and then click Edit.

Too many cooks. :s so I’m logging out. :) I do not see any evidence of this blogger having created a custom menu. What I see is this > https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/how-do-i-change-my-home-page?replies=2 -
@tt: Hmmm . . . so it’s likely that the homepage was changed to the static about at some point, which OP now doesn’t want & needs to change back. Good that you did that search for OP’s earlier posts — I’ll make a note to do that in the future. I’ll log on again later or in the a.m. and see if I can help if she/he needs it. :)

You can sometimes get unintended consequences when you delete or make page changes (such as from a static to posts page, or posts page to static) and then do not delete the associated tab/menu item from the top navigation. Sometimes things just sort of blow up in your face.
My suggestion is to get the site configured the way you want it and then delete the existing custom menu and create a new one and set it up the way you want it.

1) To make ypur homepage display your latest posts, you do what devblog suggested here:
https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/how-do-i-change-my-home-page?replies=22) The tab “Blog” in your top nav menu is useless. Go to Appearance > Menus, delete it from the menu, click Save Menu.
3) To get back to your homepage, you need a Home tab in the top nav menu. Again in Appearance > Menus: click View All in the Pages module, check “Home”, click Add to Menu, drag to reposition, click Save Menu.
