My menu does not show my posts? Why? Help!
-
Hy! I have arranged menus, and categories, and I have sorted my posts into categories and added those categories to be menues. Now, I can’t see those posts in my menues, and I’ve done everything right. I have been changing the names of the categories, and now some categories don’t have the “Original” name, so I assume I can’t see them because of that. Now, my menu lists empty categories. Please help!

Please read this first Post vs. Page http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/
(1) There is only one page we can post to in any blog.
(2) The static pages http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/ we bloggers create do not automatically update.Only the dynamic pages like Archives, Categories and Tags created by the software when we publish a post will update automatically update with new posts.
By default the front page of the blog is the Page that displays all posts in your blog. You can create a static front page and have your published posts display on another page http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/ but doing that does not change what follows.
Though there is only one dynamic page in a blog for posts (not pages) http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/ and we cannot post to more than that one page, we can create the appearance that we have posted to more than one page.
This guide will walk you through how to create category pages for your blog, to display groupings of similar posts on pages other than your front page. http://en.support.wordpress.com/category-pages/
Create a custom menu
http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/#creating-a-custom-menu
Add dynamic categories and sub-categories pages to it
http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/#adding-category-pages
Create order and sub-menus (dropdowns)
http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/#changing-the-order-creating-sub-menusHere’s a link to my post on this http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2013/07/25/create-a-wordpress-website-step-by-step/
There are many common errors, misunderstandings and misconceptions when creating custom menus and there are some tweaks you can use to improve your custom menu as well.

There’s something wrong going on as I can click the links but not get the category. Have you tried editing and removing those stars * that do not belong in any title or link? -
I have tried that now, but still nothing :/ I don’t understand, I’ve done everything else right :(

Do not despair please. I’ll tag this thread for Staff assistance. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

You`re welcome. I will not post again because Staff work through threads tagged for their attention from the threads with the earliest datestamps and timestamps to those with the most recent ones, and every time we post the time moves forward.

Your published posts are filed under these categories:
http://matejinamastaonica.wordpress.com/category/copywriting-time/
http://matejinamastaonica.wordpress.com/category/slova-smijeha-zbilje/Your menu includes links to these categories:
http://matejinamastaonica.wordpress.com/category/copywriting-u-slobodno-vrijeme/
http://matejinamastaonica.wordpress.com/category/malo-smijeha/
There are no published posts filed under these categories, so naturally these menu items give a not-found response. You need to go to Appearance > Menus and edit your menu: open and delete the wrong category items, select the existing category items from the Categories module, click Add to Menu, drag them to change their order if necessary, save.

Hi there, it’s just as Panos explained. You’ve added menu links to categories that don’t contain any posts. It may help if you view the list of all your categories here:
https://matejinamastaonica.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit-tags.php?taxonomy=category
The first two categories in your primary menu are empty. Even though you renamed the menu label for the “Copywriting u slobodno vrijeme” category to “Copywriting time!”, that won’t connect the menu link to the right category.
You’ll need to delete the first two categories in your menu and then add back the two categories that contain posts:
- *Malo smijeha*
- Copywriting time!
You can read more about using Custom Menus here:
Please let me know if you get stuck. :-)
