My most recent post does not appear on home page

  Hi there,

  My most recent post (#1 My Man Quits Sugar: The Experiment) has not appeared on my home page (other than in the featured slide-box thing), though it is accessible through the categories.

  I’ve checked the settings on the posts and the home page, and also cleared the cache as suggested but it is still not appearing.

  Hi Erin, You may have adjusted your site since you wrote this note. I am seeing your latest blog post as your top post on the main page. However, I’m not seeing a featured slider. Please let me know what settings you’d like, and I am happy to help you accomplish your goal. Thanks much!

  Thanks for getting back to me – I hadn’t adjusted it, but noticed you were right – the slider disappeared but my most recent post was on the home page. When I just went in to reinstate the slider (using appearances – customise), the slider came back but the most recent post disappeared again! Argh!

  It would be great to have both the slider, AND the most recent post on the home-page. Is it because I selected the most recent post to also appear in the featured content slider that it won’t also appear on the home-page?

  Hi Erin, I did a lot of testing over the weekend — as did a colleague of mine — and your site is simply functioning as the theme is designed. We tried to force your request to occur on our test sites, but it’s just not in the programming.

  If it helps at all, take a look at some other sites that utilize Yumblog:

  I believe the intent behind the slider is to highlight your most important posts, rather than the most recent. However, if this is something that’s important to you, please let me know and I can help you find another theme that allows you do to this!
