My New Followers

Quite often I am followed by seemingly new blogs but, they all have common characteristics:
    1. They usually feature food, and recipes
    2. Their initial ‘About’ pages are never developed. Instead there is a Word Press directive on developing an ‘About’ page.

    Who’s really following, if anybody?

The one thing I can share about eating is, taking a frozen dinner out of the freezer, and microwaving it. So, I will assume these blogs are following me because, they are genuinely interested in me eating better or, maybe….I say this with caution…maybe they’re not real??????

Meaningful comments that expand the knowledge in your posts and/or encourage others to enter discussion are gold. The advent of the like button has had a dampening impact.

There are people who follow sites simply to get the webmasters of them to click their links and follow their sites. There are even people who fall for that reciprocal following stunt by following back. There are also those who click like buttons with the same reciprocal expectation.

Bottom line: The value of a like button click or a follower in no way compares to the value of a thoughtful comment. Crafting quality blog commentsyourself connects you to other bloggers, increases your online presence, and attracts new and actually interested followers to your blog.
