my new postings don't show as picture postings

    The last four or five of my post with pictures have not, as far as I could see, shown up among the new posts as a picture. Even as they move from the first page of the new posts through several pages, they still don’t show up as pictures, just as a text post. Also, the picture is inserted and says “Flickr” and the attribution, but when I post it, that’s gone. I use the recommendations and search powered by Zemanta to do all this, but I’ve been doing it that way, and haven’t changed anything.

    If it is then I can see the image clearly. In fact I can see images in all the posts on your front page so I think you have either a connection issue or a browser issue or another issue that we can try to resolve.

    Will you please provide us with some details so we can try to help you?

    1. How are you connecting to the internet and to WordPress.com? The way you connect to the internet (mobile, satellite, DSL, dial-up) and to your blog, and how many proxy server jumps etc. it takes to connect can cause problems. There maybe be problems with your ISP and/or with the proxy servers.

    2. Are you using http:// or https:// see http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/

    3.Which browser and version of it are you using?

    4. Have you tried clearing your browser cache and cookies? http://www.google.com/support/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=32050

    5. Is your browser version up to date? You can upgrade any browser version here.

    6. Do you have third party cookies enabled?

    7. Do you have JavaScript enabled?

    8. Do you have another browser you can try?

    10. Have you had any recent operating system and/or security program updates?
    Sometimes operating system and/or security system updates can cause problems so check for known issues.

    Will you please consider placing a Recent Posts widget in your sidebar and reducing the number of posts appearing on your front page by changing the settings here? > Settings > Reading
    Blog pages show at most __posts
    Then click “save changes”

    Alternatively you can insert the more tag into your posts so only excerpts display on the front page. Doing either or both of the forgoing will reduce page loading time for your readers.

    It would be really helpful if you provided links to the posts you do not see images in and also provided links to the images that aren’t appearing when you view your blog.

    As I look at my blog, I can see the pictures. It’s just that in the new posts selections (Poetry), they aren’t showing up in the pictures row, but just as texts. The last one may. It hadn’t been up long enough when I posted this (twas still on the first page). Here’s the links to the ones that floated through new posts and never changed into that center line where the pictures are:

    It’s just that in the new posts selections (Poetry), they aren’t showing up in the pictures row, but just as texts.

    You are using MistyLook and it is coded to display only the beginnings of posts on Categories and Archives pages – not images. Please be aware that only some theme display a full post on the categories pages and archives pages, others display only permalinked titles, and a couple of theme display thumbnail images. See here for a list by theme.

    I’m sorry that I haven’t made myself clear as to what the problem is. It’s not how I see the post within my blog, either the home page or archives or within any category. The pictures show up fine.

    What I’m asking about is why they seem to be no longer showing up as pictures here:

    I know that they may not show up in the middle line of pictures on the first page, but mine were showing up somewhere as pictures (perhaps by the 2nd page) until just recently. Coincidentally (or connected ????), I have noticed about the same time that my pictures no longer display the source. They don’t say from Wikipedia or from Flickr any more.

    I use the Zemanta, bottom right, like I always have, no changes in what I’m doing. I worked on a new post for tomorrow just now and noticed that when I center it and click update, the caption disappears from the picture and the caption line where I pushed center and update also disappeared.

    But that’s the way I’ve always done it and it was working until just recently.

    Hopefully, I’ve communicated better this time. Sorry. :(

    No problem. Gottcha now. :) Staff choose which posts to display images from and we have no control over that selection or input into it.
