My New Posts are not showed in Global Tag Listings

    It’s been a month since my posts showed up in wordpress global tag for the last time.
    I only use one category and one or two tags in any of my posts. My blog is visible and suitable to everyone. I’ve never used knitting tag or category. And I’ve been with wordpress.com since February 5th , 2011.
    I’ve asked the moderators of id.forum.wordpress.com (Indonesia) about this. They told me to ask the support staff instead. So I did.
    But then I realized, form reading comments in this forum, that sometimes it took two days of waiting before receiving answers from the support staff.
    So, I think while I’m waiting, why don’t I ask this forum the same question that I’ve sent to the support staff. Maybe I can get the answer sooner. So guys….
    Is there any of you can make my day a bit brighter today? Many thanks for your help and attention :)
    Oh, one more thing… You have to forgive my poor english here……

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Anyone? Please… :)

    Staff have provided reasons for posts not being displayed in the wordpress.com global tag pages. I typed global tag pages into the support documentation searchbox here http://en.support.wordpress.com and located the entry for you. It’s here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/global-tags/

    Hi, timethief…. :)
    I’ve read the support documentation and I believe I have no problem with the global tag pages rules. The moderators of id.forum.wp.com also believe that I have no problem with the rules. That’s why they advised me to go and ask the support staff in the first place. Which I already did.
    Perhaps I should wait for their respond then.
    Anyway, thank you for your attention, timethief…. :)
    My respect to you as I know that you are one of the most reliable volunteer in this forum.

    Oh dear, I wish I had known that from the outset. As none of those reasons here http://en.support.wordpress.com/global-tags/#missing-posts are applicable to your blog then I’m sure when Staff get back to you whatever is wrong will be fixed. Best wishes for a happy ending.

    Have you by chance been scheduling posts for future publishing?

  • Unknown's avatar

    @thesacredpath
    No, I’ve never used the feature.
    I just keep on writing until it finished, then publish it right away.
    I need to ask you this;
    Is it okay to change the tags and categories of the old posts again and again? Because sometimes I re-read my own old articles and felt that the tags and categories were not the right ones.
    I’m a newbie here. My mind is always changing :)

    Updates you make on posts do not go out in RSS as new posts. So (I think) if you change tags or cats on a post, then those changes are not noted by wp global tags.

    Adding new tags or cats will eventually be noted by search engines. And you many want to add additional tags or cats in order to organize your blog. Taking away tags or cats might mean readers searching for a topic might end up with 404 not found links.

    Thank you, Tess…
    I had a feeling that changing them was not a wise thing to do. And you’re making it clear for me that I should have listen to my feeling.
    So, I have to add more tags and cats on my posts. Okay, as soon as find the right ones for them :)

    @nandobase
    The rule of thumb for tagging is to use the fewest number of relevant categories and tags that accurately describe the content of any posts I am always careful and never use more than a total of 10 relevant categories and tags on any post.

    @timethief
    I’ll keep that in mind. Thanks…. :)

    Good news, guys……
    I have received email form Andrew | Happiness Engineer | WordPress.com, saying that he just had fixed things for me. So, I checked and…voila…
