My new site

  • Unknown's avatar

Hello, I’m about to try out WordPress. I’ve had my account for a while, but I’ve never got on with the site so I’ve just left it. But I want to start a new website this week, and give it another go. From what I can see, in order to get a premium template and try out the site, I have to pay £85 with no way of finding out if it’s reimbursable.

I’m happy to pay for the year if I decide it’s the site for me, but if I still can’t get use to it, do I have a cool off period in which to retrieve my money and go elsewhere?

I do want to use WordPress, it’s my first choice. I’m just weary about paying initially for something I’m not comfortable with.

    Thanks

    Liam

    Hello Liam,
WordPress.com paid plans come with a 30-day refund period. You can purchase a plan, cancel within the refund period, and receive your money back.

However, if you register a domain (using one of the plans), you have only 48 hours to get a full refund. You can still wait up to 30 days, but you would then get a partial refund as the cost of the domain would be deducted.

Here’s more info about WordPress.com’s refund policy: https://en.support.wordpress.com/refunds
