My noney has not been refunded as was promised

  • Unknown's avatar

My money has not been refunded. It has been over a week. i cancelled within 48 hours.

Where is my money? I want me money. You talk and talk and talk but have not returned my money! Your a bunch of thieves.

  • Unknown's avatar

http://robinsherwoodtoday.wordpress.com is no longer available. The authors have deleted this site.

Exactly which upgrade is it that you cancelled and want a refund for?

Exactly which blog URL starting with http:// did you purchase the upgrade for?

Provided you are logged in under the same username account that purchased the upgrades, you can request a refund from your dashboard > Store > My Upgrades
There is also where you can click the “disable auto-renew” link.

WordPress.com provides a 30-day refund on all upgrades except Domain Registrations, Domain Renewals, and Guided Transfers.
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/upgrades/#refunds

Note: It takes from 1 – 2 weeks for the refund to be received.

  • Unknown's avatar

i requested a refund. You charged my account on October 2, 2014 way over 2 weeks ago. I cancelled withing hours of buying it. of course there is not a refund it site back on my credit card.. I received 2 emails, one from the developer and another from customer support trying to t lure me back with “treats”
if I bought another blog site again.

Really just return my money and stop the run around. There are plenty of sites like yelp that would love to hear how you have cheated me out of my money!!!

  • Unknown's avatar

Exactly which upgrade is it that you cancelled and want a refund for?

Exactly which blog URL starting with http:// did you purchase the upgrade for?

  • Unknown's avatar

P.S. This is a peer support forum where Volunteers answer support questions. You failed to provide any relevant details such as:

Exactly which upgrade is it that you cancelled and want a refund for?

Exactly which blog URL starting with http:// did you purchase the upgrade for?

Unless or until you answer my questions we are not in a position to help you.

  • Unknown's avatar

And yes. I deleted it robinsherwood.today that is why I want my refund! You can’t be serious by asking that question.
A request was made. As I said you know I have requested a refund so return the money.

  • Unknown's avatar

I am serious and I am telling you again this is a peer support forum and I am a Volunteer. I know nothing about what you refer to.

The deleted blog in question http://robinsherwoodtoday.wordpress.com/ was a free blog that was being free hosted.

You have failed to tell me exactly which upgrade that you purchased for the now deleted blog that you requested a refund for.

  • Unknown's avatar

Didn’t I just tell you. robinsherwood.today. You know that yourself you just told me. Look up your records

  • Unknown's avatar

Again what did you purchase (a bit of detail) and what was the URL you bought it for?

I received 2 emails, one from the developer and another from customer support trying to t lure me back with “treats”

Your quote is strange – the policy of the staff here is not to offer “treats” – it’s a simple “sorry to see you go – I have refunded your money” is all I have ever seen done in 5 years or so here

You might very well be asking the wrong company for the money back and be in the wrong help forum

  • Unknown's avatar

    @robinsherwoodtoday

You have failed to tell me exactly which upgrade that you purchased for the now deleted blog that you requested a refund for.

I repeat: Exactly what did you purchase that you want a refund for?

  • Unknown's avatar

And yes. I deleted it robinsherwood.today

Didn’t I just tell you. robinsherwood.today. You know that yourself you just told me. Look up your records

    http://www.robinsherwood.today/ is not deleted.

Again, exactly which blog URL starting with http:// did you purchase the upgrade for?

  • Unknown's avatar

    @auxclas and galois
Here’s my guess. This person created this free blog that was free hosted here http://robinsherwoodtoday.wordpress.com/ and has now deleted it.

This person purchased an upgrade (maybe a premium theme) for the deleted blog.

However, no matter how many times I ask which upgrade was purchased that the blogger expects the refund for the blogger fails to answer me.

Until she/he actually spits out the relevant information ie. which upgrade she/he purchased and expects the refund for we can do nothing to help.

I paid for this theme especially for it to be free of ads. After I paid for it and when I checked it still will have ads on it! This is not something disclosed before I paid WordPress. Yes,there will be ads on my blog! If that is the case how do I stop ads from being on my blog.

If it ads not be stopped and I have to pay an extra 30 dollars, which I will not pay how do I get the refund? I tried going to a refund page but it took me to the buy a premium upgrade.

I just bought it today! This is deceptive and evasive.

Please answer my questions as soon as possible.

The blog I need help with is robinsherwoodtoday.wordpress.com.

    Hi there,

I totally understand that you are unhappy, because you are still having ads displayed on your blog. If you want to request a refund for your Premium theme you can do that within 30 days after your purchase right in your dashboard. You can also find further information here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-upgrades/refunds/

I’m sorry that I can not help you directly, since I am the theme author and can only help with questions regarding the theme and not with purchase/refund questions. But I send a request to a WordPress.com staff member to get back to you asap, too.

    Best, Ellen

I’m very sorry for the confusion here. Premium themes give your site a new look-and-feel. To keep free WordPress.com services free, ads are sometimes displayed on WordPress.com sites, whether or not they have a premium theme.

I see that you’ve already issued yourself a refund for the theme and even deleted your site. I apologize for any confusion about what’s included with a premium theme. If you’d ever like to return to WordPress.com, you are welcome back.

If there is somewhere specific on WordPress.com that incorrectly mentions that premium themes will remove ads on your site, I’d be grateful if you’d let me know where so that we can make the correction.

So it appears the answers to my two original questions are as follows:

Question: Exactly which upgrade is it that you cancelled and want a refund for?

Answer: I purchased the premium theme called Moka.

Question: Exactly which blog URL starting with http:// did you purchase the upgrade for?

Answer: I purchased it for http://robinsherwoodtoday.wordpress.com/

Apparently although you checked the box stating you read and agreed to the Terms of Service, you failed to read the Terms of Service which clearly states there is advertising running on our blogs:
<blockquote10. Advertisements. Automattic reserves the right to display advertisements on your blog unless you have purchased an Ad-free Upgrade or a VIP Services account.

Bottom line: Not to worry, as this thread is tagged for Staff assistance with your refund.

I DID NOT REINSTATE MY ACCOUNT.THE ACCOUNT HAS BEEN CANCELLED AND A REFUND ASKED FOR AS IS ACKNOWLEDGE IN THIS COPY OF THE STAFF EMAIL. I HAD TO LOG ON TO REPLY USING MY OLD ACCOUNT EMAIL TO GET MY MONEY BACK. THIS URL HAS BEEN CANCELLED!!!

  • Unknown's avatar

That is a separate issue. The advert issue has been resolved.

I still do not want the blog and I want my money back.

The refund has been asked for and the account is close. I have not received it and it has been over tow weeks.

Thank-you for your reply. Where is the staff?

  • Unknown's avatar

SHOUTING! changes nothing and copying and pasting what we can all read here http://premium-themes.forums.wordpress.com/topic/advert-reove-ads-from-moka-blog?replies=4#post-59320 which reveals that you did not read the Terms of Service but entered the contract anyway, over and over into this thread is doing youself a personal disservice.

This thread has been tagged for Staff as stated above.

Staff work through all forum threads tagged for their attention and through all email support tickets in chronological order based on datestamps and timestamps – first posted first served, as would be expected.

How long it takes to clear the threads and support tickets depends on how many Happiness Engineers are working on them at any given point in time. It also depends on how complex the issues in each thread and ticket are are.

Please don’t bump your thread by posting into it again because it’s not in your best interest to post to it after it has been tagged for Staff help. Doing that moves the timestamps forward and that guarantees that it will take longer to get Staff help.
