My notifications has stopped working, why?

  what does it mean when there are assorted letters in the notification tab next to our name? It has spelled some interesting phrases each time I log in .
  Notifications stopped working months ago. I’ve told this staff of the assorted problems but, they continue, and are getting worse. I’ve even written MATT about it to NO avail.

  You have two separate email address settings at WordPress.com.

  Blog notifications for the admin (like comment moderation, Likes, new subscriptions, etc) are sent to the email address at Settings -> General in the Dashboard.

  Personal notifications (like comments on your post, subscription emails, and upgrade renewals) are sent to the email address at Users -> Personal Settings in the Dashboard.

  Have you checked your email client spam filter?

  I’ve read the support info on the admin bar, the fact IS that notification s HASN’T functioned in months. AND won’t! Only ONE staff person has addressed a problem similar and only ONE of the mentioned issues has been cleared away.

  Hi there, alghaumon. If you’re seeing letters instead of icons, it’s probably an indication you’d greatly benefit from an updated web browser.
