my old account recovery

Hi there – I used publish on WordPress few years back but can’t get to my old account – for some reason my password is not recognised. I have also lost my old e-mail address since (I know this sounds bad)… I do however have my old log-in details they just stopped working for some reason and I am positive I didn’t change any of them… please could you help me? I am on my new e-mail (email visible only to moderators and staff) – I could give you my details and could try and prove the ownership (I couldn’t answer any of the questions in the recovery form though but I do have a book published on the back of my old blog etc…) I appreciate you’re help many thanks in advance, Sasha

ah I see… this is a part of the problem – I have tried that initially but failed to provide the necessary information required by the ownership proof section of the assisted account recovery form… and as I don’t have my old e-mail address anymore I can’t re-set my password etc… besides I am positive my password and my log-in name are exactly the same as they were before I haven’t changed any of those (at least to the best of my memory anyway)… for some reason they stopped working… may be I could give you my details and you could check them for me and let me know why they are not recognised as valid? or anything else I could do to prove the ownership of my site (besides those three tick-off boxes provided by the recovery form – I don’t have the information required sorry). many many thanks once again, S.

We don’t know your password so, even if you gave it to us (which you shouldn’t, never give your password to anyone), we wouldn’t be able to do anything with it.
