  I really have a problem…I privatized my blog afropolita.wordpress.com while using another blogging platform. I thought the email address i used to create that blog is (email visible only to moderators and staff). The problem starts when I think I´d stay in the other platform with a different url and thought I will never ever need to use “afropolita.wordpress.com”. Then I deleted my gmail account (email and g+ profile) (email visible only to moderators and staff).

  After some time, I realized the other platform is useless for serious blogging so I decide to come back to wordpress.com and open a new blog with a friend (africastateofmind.com). At the same time, I am invited to contribute in Medium, writing every other month for a mini-magazine named “Melanink”.

  My nightmare is that I have some posts at “afropolita.wordpress.com” but can´t:
  1. Enter it (I privatized it when I went to try another platform)
  2. Can´t log in (I am not too sure of the user name o had, it was maybe “irismaria” or something like that or like) I can´t even request a new password or user name because I can´t enter (email visible only to moderators and staff) (I deleted the email account)

  So, what I beg you guys, is to allow me enter “afropolita.wordpress.com”. All I want is the content..But having privatized it makes it technically impossible for me to get.

  Do you have a solution? please, help me. There are a couple of posts that I really need. :-(

  If you go to our password retrieval form right here:

  http://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword

  You will find that there is an account recovery link. Using that, you can see what items we can accept as proof of your identity to get you back in to your account. Unfortunately if you do not have any of those items, we will be unable to provide you access.

  Please use that form, as we are also unable to provide account retrieval assistance in this forum.

  Dear amightywp,

  I sorted it out by logging in a group wp account where I had still a user with managing power for the privatized blog.
  How can I delete this conversation?
  Issue is resolved.

  We don’t delete conversations out of our forums as a general rule, however it is locked down so no one else can contribute to it.

  This support thing does work and you are virtually nice. It made my day when I realized I could “un-privatize” the blog and get them posts back. :-)
